As part of the PATHFOOD project (HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02), we are pleased to announce a five-day Winter School on Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), taking place at the University of Warsaw Biological and Chemical Research Centre from 16 to 20 February 2026.
Who Should Attend
This Winter School is designed for:
• Researchers
• PhD students
• Partners of the PATHFOOD project
Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience with capillary electrophoresis, a powerful and versatile technique for biomolecular analysis.
What You Will Learn
The program offers an in-depth introduction to various CE techniques, including:
• Capillary Zone Electrophoresis (CZE)
• Micellar Electrokinetic Capillary Chromatography (MEKC)
• Capillary Electrochromatography (CEC)
Key topics include:
• How operational conditions affect separation performance
• The role of Background Electrolyte (BGE) in CE
• Compatibility of BGE with mass spectrometry and online preconcentration
• Advantages of CE in analysing complex samples
The Winter School will also demonstrate the practical applicability of CE in food and phytochemical research, highlighting its sensitivity, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with green chemistry principles.
Course Leader
The course will be led by Dr. Danilo Corradini, an internationally recognised expert in capillary electrophoresis.
