The five-day programme focused on Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), a key analytical technique widely used in food science and bioactive compound research.
The event was organised in a hybrid format. Lectures were delivered both on-site and online, while laboratory sessions were conducted in person.
The five-day programme focused on Capillary Electrophoresis (CE), a key analytical technique widely used in food science and bioactive compound research.
Participants explored fundamental electrokinetic phenomena, CE instrumentation and operational principles, as well as method development and validation. Further sessions addressed electroosmotic flow (EOF), main separation modes, online sample preconcentration and multidimensional CE combined with mass spectrometry.
Hands-on laboratory training formed an essential part of the Winter School, including EOF measurements and CZE analysis of plant metabolites.
The programme concluded with a summary session and certificate presentation. The Winter School represented an important step in strengthening advanced analytical competencies within the PATHFOOD project.
